Finding the right therapist for you is key to getting what you want out of therapy. My first task, as your therapist, is to create a safe, accepting, and genuine space in which we can explore your challenges and goals. Together, we will work to better understand the difficulties that are getting in your way and how you can move through them to a more authentic way of living. To assist you along your journey, I rely on a variety of techniques and ground my work in Person Centered, Attachment-based, and Trauma-informed theory.
It is my view that many of the challenges that get us stuck in our lives are rooted in ways that we relate to ourselves, others, and the world that we are not always fully aware of. Many of the patterns that we develop in these relationships are hard to see by ourselves and difficult to change. In therapy, we have the opportunity to gain awareness, understanding, and freedom from patterns that are no longer necessary for us and get in the way of authentic living.
I received my master’s in counseling from Antioch University Seattle and have been providing psychotherapy since 2014. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family.
