Returning Safely

We miss seeing you in person!  We also want to make sure that we have effective procedures in place to safeguard the health, safety, and emotional well being of both our clients and our team.  Some clinicians are beginning to offer in person appointments on a limited basis.  We appreciate your flexibility, patience and understanding during this difficult time.

It is our policy that in Stages 1 and 2 of the WA state reopening plan, in person sessions shall be limited to those that are deemed to be clinically necessary for the well-being of the client or others and a telehealth visit is not possible.

In Stage 3 of reopening, each therapist and their client, together and individually, shall have the option to choose telehealth services until the WA state Department of Health advises that risk of any exposure is minimal and that health risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19 and its variants is minimal.  Each therapist also has to make a personal decision based on their individual needs and level of risk to their household.  Building Skills is allowing, but not requiring therapists to return to in person sessions in Stage 3.  Please respect the privacy of your therapist if you are ready and able to come in to the office but they are not yet able to offer in person appointments.  No more than two of our therapists will be in the office at one time to ensure adequate social distancing in our reception area.

If you are in the process of making a decision to request an appointment in the office, please feel free to review our full policy and procedures.
