Finding balance in our hectic modern lives can be a trying task. Feelings of isolation, sadness, anger and racing negative thoughts can interfere in our relationships with others and make it hard to simply getting through the day. I believe that relief is possible through better understanding of the experiences that created these feelings.
Therapy is most effective when you can build trust and connection with your therapist. My personal style is founded on humor, compassion and understanding. I work with individuals 10 years and older with a focus on managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger issues and PTSD; as well as improving communication skills and increasing self-confidence.
I approach therapy through a family systems lens, utilizing a blend of Narrative, Solution Focused, and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions to support clients in better understanding their experiences. My practice is LGBTQI friendly, with a goal to always offer a culturally sensitive, supportive environment for all of my clients.
With a Masters Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Counseling from Saybrook University, I have had the pleasure of working with clients since 2017. Outside of the office I enjoy reading science fi/ fantasy novels, crafting, playing with my dogs, and tending to my many plants.
